Losing my dear Mum was the worst situation I had imagined…The whole “what next?” etc was daunting and bewildering. Deciding to use Mears, we did so purely on location initially. We all live locally and I particularly wanted to know that my dear Mum would be nearby. On meeting Steve, I was immediately put at ease and felt I could be open and honest about my grief and fears. The selecting of casket, order of service , cars and arrangements were seamless. Steve was very accommodating re visiting Mum and she looked serene and beautiful in her casket. His friendly candour was refreshing and his reassurance of “how ..”when ..”what ?” was most appreciated. The journey to the crematorium went via old haunts and was emotional and respectfully executed. Taking us to our destination for Mum’s send-off was where Steve left us and we all could not praise the whole experience enough..dealt with with professionalism and compassion.Thus making my dearest Mum’s final journey from arrangement to service a dignified and love-filled occasion. Many thanks for making a daunting time less so.. Thank you xxx

Steve and his team, were highly professional and respectful when looking after our family. They could not do enough for us. Steve took time to explain each process and worked with us to find the most affordable option for us. He and his team did everything they could to take as much of the stress out of what was a very difficult time for our family. We really can’t thank him enough.

The service shown by the Mears Family team was superb. It made handling the arrangement issues around the loss of my father much easier to deal with. The hospitality was excellent. Thank you for all of your help. The value for the money was excellent as well.

I would definitely recommend this company to everyone. The care and attention to detail is spot on. The staff are so helpful and always there for any inquiries. The detail is top quality. I am so pleased with my headstone that l designed.

From start to finish, they were so caring and helpful, they helped me with all aspects of the funeral, would recommend Mears. Especially their prices are very reasonable.
